If PTCA is already the certification you have chosen, registering earlier can turn a vague goal into a concrete preparation target. The current program gives candidates 12 months from registration to take the exam, and one retake is included after an unsuccessful first attempt.
That is a preparation window, not a reason to rush. Current Linux Foundation policy says exam registration refunds may be requested only within three business days of purchase and only before an exam reservation has been scheduled. Verify the live eligibility, refund, scheduling, and retake rules before purchasing.
